That the Parliament congratulates John Mulholland on his forthcoming retirement as he steps down from his role as the long-term CEO at Ayr Housing Aid Centre; understands that John has given 28 years of tireless service to the Centre, and has developed the Centre into a highly respected charity and expanded on the housing support services provided across South Ayrshire and beyond; recognises that John was instrumental in developing innovative and forward-thinking services, which places service-users’ interests at the core of the services; commends John’s tireless commitment to preventing homelessness and tackling poverty; thanks him for the work that he has done for those in the most precarious housing situations and for the legacy he leaves behind; looks forward to Suzanne Slavin taking forward the role of CEO at Ayr Housing Aid Centre and to continue delivering homelessness prevention in the future, and wishes John all the very best for a long, happy and well-earned retirement.
