About Us
AHAC (known locally as “Housing Aid”) was established as a registered charity on 28.5.1986. Since 2003 we became accredited as a type III Scottish National Standards Housing Information and Advice Provider and In 2003 we started providing our Care inspectorate “sector leading” award winning engagement Housing Support Services across South Ayrshire.
In 2003 as part of a Scottish national Standards Pilot we became the first SNAIAP Accredited Housing Advice Agency in Scotland providing independent housing information, advice and advocacy across all housing area of law topics including homelessness, housing related benefits, public/private rent sectors and owner occupiers, disrepair and landlord/tenant disputes.
For every £1 put in the Centre generates a value of £38.94
Every year around 4000 individuals/organisations directly or indirectly benefit from our Service.
Our Services provide a range of values, including health and wellbeing, educational and economic.
