VACANCY – TENURE SUSTAINMENT OFFICER
Rate and Hours: £12.63/HR FOR 20 HRS/WK (2024 Rate Increase TBC)

Ayr Housing Aid Centre SCIO is a registered Charity Established in 1986 which provides Free, Independent Housing Information, Advice, Advocacy and Care Inspectorate regulated Tenure Sustainment Services. Working as part of our Tenure Sustainment Service in South Ayrshire, you will provide invaluable support to Service Users, to prevent homelessness and address the challenges associated with poverty. You will work as part of a team assisting the Centre in achieving its main aims and objectives.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and organised individuals capable of providing crisis intervention support where the Service User is unable to engage with any other services and cannot carry out tasks themselves to sustain their tenancy. The successful applicant will proactively engage with Service Users to identify and address potential housing challenges and implement sustainable solutions. Through personalised assistance our Tenure Sustainment Officers work towards alleviating poverty by providing resources, guidance, and advocacy to enhance financial stability and overall well-being. You will be required to provide practical assistance which may require writing, calling or visiting others on behalf of the Service User, liaising and mediating between Council, DWP, Landlord and other Agencies and support with budgeting and housekeeping.
Applicants should have a commitment to continuous personal development to enhance knowledge and skills and experience managing a caseload. You should have excellent IT and communication skills, including the ability to maintain accurate records, data and statistics input to ensure compliance with contract KPI, SSSC Codes of Practice and Health and Social Care Standards. Use of a car and driving licence is essential.
